Read Bob describing himself and some adjectives, such as Asian and brown. It is hilarious, but true.
During the long weekend, in some rest area in New Jersey Highway, One Girl said Khuda Hafiz to me. She probably thought that I was a Muslim, or may be a Pakistani. I don't blame her as such. All of us look so similar.
I think, with the kind of relationships people are getting into, the world would look more similar after 2000 years. What do you think, Bob?

Hi Chirag,
Even I have trouble telling who is Pakistani as opposed to Indian without some sort of religious marker (which itself isn't foolproof.)
It's hard to say what we'll look like in 2000 years. I was sort of hoping that by that time we would be able to genetically engineer ourselves to look like whatever we wanted. Even better, we might have gadgets plugged into our brains that allow us to designate what *other* people look like to us regardless of reality.
In the interim, we are going to see an emerging world-traveler race. These people will be as you describe, and their lineage will have the same ambiguity as white Americans have when trying to tie their roots to Europe.
On the other hand, we will have large masses of people who will cling to their identities strongly against new threats. There will be problems.
