Wiley::Leadership Without Borders: Successful Strategies from World-Class Leaders

This is the book Ed Cohen has been writing since last two years. The challange will be not to show some new ideas, but also to be albe to show what people know inherently but do not admit that easily.

I believe that almost everyone knows why they failed, it is just that they don't want to admit it, and sometimes they are more scared of turning around (because people will ask why)... The change is something most people are never ready for.

Cohen Family Passage to India

Ed Cohen is a SVP at Satyam, and is helping them setup their institute of leadership. It is a kind of late move for Satyam. They are about 3-4 years behind Infosys. Not something so unusual for Satyam, I believe. It is a follower and not a leader. If you look at entering china or latin america. It was not the first one. It waited for others to setup their operation before setting up its own.

Satyam probably also needs Satyam's Institute of Middle Management along with a leadership institute.

Pretty Picture

This pretty picture is from JSGA's Khat muhurt (ground breaking ceremony) for the new temple. They managed to cross a step without having a mandate, and on the day I did spot someone telling congratulation to another one.. not sure they ment. Did they mean heartfelt for building the temple or was it for making it stalled all these while? Posted by Picasa

Bad Apartments

The apartment I have been staying since last 6 months has a leaking roof. The roof leaks everytime it rains. I have been very regular in making complains about this leak. Apartment has also been very regular in sending in the painter who will come and paint the patch created on the wall, but nobody seems to be fixing the roof. Which is why everytime it rains, it causes us some issues.

Not sure what can be done.

What apartment it is? Well, if you know which city I am in, or if you think you can help me fight this issue, do drop me an email and we can discuss it out. Posted by Picasa
